What does StoreCheck Payouts do?
It explains the sales, refunds, fees, adjustments, reserves, and retries that make up each Shopify Payments payout. It then compares paid payouts with deposits in a bank CSV and identifies matched, missing, and ambiguous results.
Is my bank CSV uploaded?
No. The raw CSV is parsed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to or retained by our servers.
Can the app move money or edit my store?
No. The app uses read-only access for Shopify Payments payouts and their payout summaries. It cannot initiate transfers, edit orders, or change payouts.
How are matches decided?
The audit uses deterministic amount, currency, and date evidence. Every result includes a reason so you can review it rather than trusting a hidden score.
Which files are supported?
Use a UTF-8 CSV up to 5 MB with comma or semicolon separators. XLS, XLSX, and PDF files are not supported. Export those formats as CSV first.
Does the app convert currencies?
No. A bank transaction must use the payout currency to be considered a match. The app does not infer foreign-exchange conversions.
Why can’t I load payouts?
Shopify Payments must be active, and the signed-in Shopify user must be authorized to view payout information. Store or account restrictions may also prevent access.
Can I test the workflow first?
Yes. Use the sample audit in the embedded app to see matches and exceptions without selecting your own bank file.
